Thank you to everyone who was able to join our webinar last Wednesday! We’ve experienced remarkable interest in the work we’re doing along with incredible growth in 2013 (more on that later!).  Michael Schmidt, Founder and CEO of Nutonian, shared several of our key performance metrics, specifically customer growth, community forum traction / participation, # of searches, and # of models being calculated per second.  Additionally, Michael shared several customer use case examples as well as a sneak peek at our latest product in development.

With only 30 minutes time we weren’t able to respond to all of your submitted questions; however, below is the Q&A from the most commonly asked questions.  If you have any other questions for Michael, please visit our user forums and post your question there!

We're incredibly excited to announce that Nutonian has raised a $4M Series A round led by Atlas Venture. The funds will be used to further develop and commercialize Eureqa, the platform behind Nutonian. As Eureqa continues to advance, we are able to help you, our users, solve even more of your challenges. Eureqa's breakthrough technology in Symbolic Regression has already helped thousands of researchers answer some of their most challenging questions, and with this funding we can continue to bring our technology to more people and challenges.

“In a staggeringly complex world, it is impossible for the human mind alone to make precise predictions about what will happen and why it will happen,” said Michael Schmidt, Nutonian founder and CEO. “We created Eureqa to uncover the underlying truth from seeming chaos. Its application in the business world and the value it can bring is exciting and we are very fortunate to have investors who share in that confidence and vision.” Forbes magazine recently declared Schmidt one of “The World’s 7 Most Powerful Data Scientists”.
